Raquel Bonita

Gijón (Asturias. Spain) – 1984

I am an illustrator from the north of Spain but now I am based in Copenhagen.

I have been one of the winners of the International Exhibition “Landscapes & Portraits of Bologna Children’s Book Fair” in 2023. My illustrations have been selected in 2021 for the 55º Bologna Children’s Book Fair Exhibition. In 2020, I was one of the finalist of the BIBF Ananas Illustration Exhibitions. During 2018 as well, my work was finalist in the Illustration Exhibition of the 11th International Illustration Meeting of S. João da Madeira in Portugal, shortlisted in the Nami Concours of the Nami Island International Children’s Book Festival in South Korea. The same year, I also won the Special Mention in the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition of the Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair in China. In 2018, 2019 and 2021 for the Exhibition of Illustration for the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival in United Arab Emirates.
